An educational board game for patients with inborn rare metabolic diseases (phenylketonuria, maple syrup urine disease, tyrosinemia and classical homocystinuria). By playing the game, patients go through different stages of life – neonatal/infant, preschool and school years learning about their disease and possible treatment – a low-protein diet. After each roll of the dice, they additionally draw cards with tasks/questions about the disease, treatment and daily life.

My task was to create and illustrate the characters of the game, design the graphic elements for the cards, the board and the box. I also came up with the title (which makes perfect sense in polish language, because I play with words and their additional meanings) – “(Live)Eat healthy low-protein, rare cases from the life of Kuba and Agatka”.

Edukacyjna gra planszowa dla pacjentów z wrodzonymi wadami metabolizmu (fenyloketonurią, chorobą syropu klonowego, tyrozynemią i homocystynurią klasyczną). Grając w grę pacjenci przechodzą różne etapy życia – okres noworodkowy/niemowlęcy, przedszkolny i szkolny ucząc się o swojej chorobie i możliwym leczeniu – diecie niskobiałkowej. Po każdym rzucie kostką dodatkowo losują karty z zadaniami/pytaniami dotyczącymi choroby, leczenia i życia codziennego.

Moim zadaniem było stworzenie i zilustrowanie bohaterów gry, zaprojektowanie elementów graficznych na karty, planszę oraz pudełko. Wymyśliłam również tytuł  “(ży)Jemy zdrowo niskobiałkowo, rzadkie przypadki z życia Kuby i Agatki”.
